For The Family of Laura Carr

Dear Family Members and Friends:

On behalf of the National Leiomyosarcoma Foundation, we extend our deep sympathy for the passing of Laura Carr.  We had been conversing periodically with Laura, and she championed the Foundation’s mission and purpose – participating in our LMS Live Connect Patient telecons, preparing lapel ribbons for us as well.

We know that Laura was always positive, hopeful, courageous and strong throughout her struggle with LMS.  She was a remarkable person and has left a huge legacy of kindness and love for her family, friends and other LMS patients for which she always offered advice and help.

Honoring Laura’s memory with a fundraising effort for LMS research through the National Leiomyosarcoma Foundation is most appreciated.  The tax deductible “investment” donations for the much-needed Leiomyosarcoma research will be directed to 3 current research projects in the pipeline that have been vetted by the Foundation’s Medical Advisory Council.

To have Laura’s tribute paragraph/photo for our website would be such an honor and a treasure for the Foundation.

Laura will always be remembered and very much missed forever.

In gratitude and sympathy,

Annie Achee,

The entire Board of the National Leiomyosarcoma Foundation
