Patient Testimonials
"Annie and the NLMSF work tirelessly on behalf of patients with LMS, seeking ways to support needed
research, offering free patient programs throughout the US, and providing support for caregivers. The
website has tons of great information for those with this diagnosis, and the weekly newsletter includes
lots of links to other valuable information. NLMSF has its own active Facebook group where patients can
pose questions and gain support. Highly recommended!"

The truth strengthens us. Please try and insulate your kind heartedness and distance yourself. You know who you are. To those who matter, you are loved for who you are. - you have aided me. Be at peace.
.And, of course, all of us want to live in peace and prefer those who agree with us. But the real test of virtue and deserving of praise is to live at peace with the perverse, or the aggressive and those who contradict us, for this needs a great grace. ... in this mortal life, our peace consists in the humble bearing of suffering and contradictions, not in being free of them, for we cannot live in this world without adversity. Those who can best suffer will enjoy the most peace, for such persons are masters of themselves, lords of the world, with Christ for their friend, and heaven as their home."

Thank you for the plethora of information. I think God led me to send a "thank you" email to you this afternoon. I wanted to share my appreciation and gratitude. You and Mitch were so kind to share your information and time with me this afternoon. Pre-cancer I was not very emotional or a hugging person, except with my family. However, I would like to send you a virtual hug because I am so touched with your (and Mitch's) kindness and thoughtfulness. I am blessed.

Annie Achee Thank you Annie for stand up for what you have completely given your all for. You have always been accurate and self explanatory in anything I have ever read or listened to in a conference or in person. You and Mitch are medically educated and have personally experienced lMS . I don’t know if anyone else who has ever worked as hard as the both of you for any health foundation. Keep up what you are doing. LMs needs you and stay strong don’t let someone bully you. You are the backbone of NLMSF and I for one am grateful.Thank you Annie

My name is Franka and I'm from Trinidad and Tobago. I learnt of this foundation through Facebook. My sister was diagnosed with undifferentiated Phlemorphic Sarcoma cancer in March of 2020 and the doctors in Trinidad told us to seek medical attention abroad due to Covid restrictions we are faced with challenges. My sister is in constant pain and I'm trying my best. I spoke with Annie via Facebook and she gave me her contact number to call her for advise because she has some experience. I called Annie at 4am because of our time difference I actually woke her up from sleep and she was so pleasant and she stayed with me on the phone for half hour chatting with me and giving me sarcoma specialist name and contact number. I really appreciate Annie everyday we will chat and she is always pleasant and helpful I really hope to meet her one day.
Thanks so very much for being there for me

I have known Annie Achee many for years . I can truthfully say she is the most kind hearted person that I know. She is a very knowledgeable in the lMS [community]or family .If ever a time or need Annie is there for ANYONE. She has completely devoted her life to helping those of us that have developed this horrible cancer in anyway possible. I regard Annie to the utmost esteem as a person, friend and a voice for reaching for a cure for this horrible cancer. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for this lady to be Kicked off of any fb group concerning LMS for she has done nothing but continuously work to make life a little better and help those in need. I have known Annie since day one of her desires to find a cure of LMS. It is in her heart and in her bones to continue the NLMSF and I don’t think she can be silenced. There is to much fight and too much good in Annie Achee . Sincerely Gail Gore

“As an LMS patient with a history of active disease, the National Leiomyosarcoma Foundation has been both balm and beacon. It is a source of support and knowledge as well as an outlet for sharing and communication. Often a medical journey can be isolating and lonely, so finding these connecting points to knowledge and conversation is so helpful. I am ever thankful for this association.”

Annie, you have no idea just how much you and Dr Mitch have come to mean to me in such a short period of time. You were there constantly during a very difficult and challenging period of my time pre, peri and post surgery and now for all the additional tests and procedures I am required to undergo. It's extremely heartening to know that you both are there, supporting me and I can't describe just how good that makes me feel, especially to have a mother figure during these difficult times. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

I discovered NLMSF two years into my LMS diagnosis. Since then, it has been a great source of support, research, and guidance. I've benefited from the work of the Research Roundtable, been able to interact with several of those docs, and enrolled in ongoing studies to contribute to the research. I've also forged friendships with other LMS Warriors. Continuing to support NLMSF and their invaluable work is vital for our entire community. Prayers and wishes for health for all of us in the coming year.

Annie Achee we love your heart and I strive everyday I guess I put it yesterday as I aspire to inspire so I think you and I have a lot in common as we just want what's best for the greater good but for me I need a team to accomplish that with. I can't thank you enough for working with my Mayo oncology specialist! For the rest of you who didn't know I got into doing unique because of the fact I had cancer so I guess that's how this all ties together

I want to thank you and Mitch for spending time with me today.
You both are a lifeline for me. Mitch was outstanding in his clear and insightful explanation of the CT scan showing the relationship of
arteries to my mesenteric tumors. I learned a lot. But just as important is the special support you both have shown. Authentic caring!
Many Thanks
