"Annie and the NLMSF work tirelessly on behalf of patients with LMS, seeking ways to support needed research, offering free patient programs throughout the US, and providing support for caregivers. The website has tons of great information for those with this diagnosis, and the weekly newsletter includes lots of links to other valuable information. NLMSF has its own active Facebook group where patients can pose questions and gain support. Highly recommended!"
I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and support. You are a lighthouse during a dark storm.
I so appreciate your lovely caring ways. I love your warm and powerful message: "...anchor that we all must hold on to in order to build bridges to resilience and strength to get through to get through the journey."
Another year full of achievements for the LMS community! Thank you Annie and Mitch Happy New Year.
Dear Annie and Mitch,You give of yourselves unconditionally, and brighten the days of many many people. May our Lord God give you His peace and His Blessings
You are a wonderful gift, Annie! You give so much to all of us. Thank you for everything you do. Have a joyous holiday season.
You are amazing! Thank you so much for your arrangement and hosting. It was my honor to attend this amazing event and interact with you and your LMS community. I had a great time hearing wonderful questions and the passion of everyone.
Annie Achee you a a very kind hearted and caring person. Your light surely signs bright for all. Thank you for the kind words.
The truth strengthens us. Please try and insulate your kind heartedness and distance yourself. You know who you are. To those who matter, you are loved for who you are. - you have aided me. Be at peace. .And, of course, all of us want to live in peace and prefer those who agree with us. But the real test of virtue and deserving of praise is to live at peace with the perverse, or the aggressive and those who contradict us, for this needs a great grace. ... in this mortal life, our peace consists in the humble bearing of suffering and contradictions, not in being free of them, for we cannot live in this world without adversity. Those who can best suffer will enjoy the most peace, for such persons are masters of themselves, lords of the world, with Christ for their friend, and heaven as their home." Thomas á Kempis
Hi Annie. I see most of your posts here and I've seen has been nothing but useful and a great service to those of us struggling to cope bravely with a rare cancer. LMK if I can help in any way., and I am no even diagnosed with LMS but rather Lipo.

I appreciate very much all that you and your husband do for Leiomyosarcoma research and education. We patients have a resource we would not have otherwise.
Your email gave me huge support and honestly it made me cry too to know that somewhere there are people who are so generous to offer support as yours. I am also thankful for your kind reply and remembering me
My name is Franka and I'm from Trinidad and Tobago. I learnt of this foundation through Facebook. My sister was diagnosed with undifferentiated Phlemorphic Sarcoma cancer in March of 2020 and the doctors in Trinidad told us to seek medical attention abroad due to Covid restrictions we are faced with challenges. My sister is in constant pain and I'm trying my best. I spoke with Annie via Facebook and she gave me her contact number to call her for advise because she has some experience. I called Annie at 4am because of our time difference I actually woke her up from sleep and she was so pleasant and she stayed with me on the phone for half hour chatting with me and giving me sarcoma specialist name and contact number. I really appreciate Annie everyday we will chat and she is always pleasant and helpful I really hope to meet her one day. Thanks so very much for being there for me
Thanks again for all that you do. Merry Christmas to you and Mitch and your family. You are a gift to the world.
Dear Annie and Mitch - I'm so grateful to have met you both. Thank you for your generous, enormously helpful, loving support on behalf of me and our family. May God continue to bless you with his grace, optimal health, balance, and contentment.
The Foundation and Annie’s reputation is excellent - because we all know her!
I have known Annie Achee many for years . I can truthfully say she is the most kind hearted person that I know. She is a very knowledgeable in the lMS [community]or family .If ever a time or need Annie is there for ANYONE. She has completely devoted her life to helping those of us that have developed this horrible cancer in anyway possible. I regard Annie to the utmost esteem as a person, friend and a voice for reaching for a cure for this horrible cancer. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for this lady to be Kicked off of any fb group concerning LMS for she has done nothing but continuously work to make life a little better and help those in need. I have known Annie since day one of her desires to find a cure of LMS. It is in her heart and in her bones to continue the NLMSF and I don’t think she can be silenced. There is to much fight and too much good in Annie Achee . Sincerely Gail Gore
Thank you so much, Annie. You're an amazing person and I am so grateful to God for having put you in my life

I have always seen nothing but useful and a great service to those of us struggling to cope bravely with a rare cancer. LMK if I can help in any way. Thanks to both of you for the kind, smart and generous giving you do for all of us who are doing our best to cope with a difficult and rare cancer. My gratitude and best wishes to you always!
You are generous and informative in your posts and your availability. I am grateful to have you as a resource since you're obviously so knowledgeable and connected in this field.
“As an LMS patient with a history of active disease, the National Leiomyosarcoma Foundation has been both balm and beacon. It is a source of support and knowledge as well as an outlet for sharing and communication. Often a medical journey can be isolating and lonely, so finding these connecting points to knowledge and conversation is so helpful. I am ever thankful for this association.” With blessings and love to you Annie,
Thank you again for all you do Annie. It means a lot to us.
You have always been so kind to me. I've spoken with Marlana in Portland and we both agreed that you are a lovely and giving woman. I know you've really educated yourself on so many aspects of sarcomas and share your knowledge, caring, and support with anyone who connects with you.
Annie, you have no idea just how much you and Dr Mitch have come to mean to me in such a short period of time. You were there constantly during a very difficult and challenging period of my time pre, peri and post surgery and now for all the additional tests and procedures I am required to undergo. It's extremely heartening to know that you both are there, supporting me and I can't describe just how good that makes me feel, especially to have a mother figure during these difficult times. Thank you from the bottom of my heart
Thank you for being you. You give so much to others when you could easily keep your knowledge for your own family's benefit.
I value helping people to be advocates for whatever disease they are working with. You are so devoted, and that's inspirational.
As the year has begun, please know you are never too far from thoughts and we are grateful to you. You are a beautiful, loving couple.
I discovered NLMSF two years into my LMS diagnosis. Since then, it has been a great source of support, research, and guidance. I've benefited from the work of the Research Roundtable, been able to interact with several of those docs, and enrolled in ongoing studies to contribute to the research. I've also forged friendships with other LMS Warriors. Continuing to support NLMSF and their invaluable work is vital for our entire community. Prayers and wishes for health for all of us in the coming year.
Thank you for that special message, and MOST especially for all you do, ALL year long, for LMS patients, caregivers, and family! You both are truly a blessing!
Annie and Mitch, I wish I could meet you face to face. You’ve given me courage on days that you don’t realize. Thank you for all that you do.
I really appreciate all that you do. Your friendship means so much!
Thank you for your support and sharing a common bond of LMS and our fight to survive! Happy thanksgiving to all. Share the time with family and friends!
Annie Achee we love your heart and I strive everyday I guess I put it yesterday as I aspire to inspire so I think you and I have a lot in common as we just want what's best for the greater good but for me I need a team to accomplish that with. I can't thank you enough for working with my Mayo oncology specialist! For the rest of you who didn't know I got into doing unique because of the fact I had cancer so I guess that's how this all ties together
Thank you again. You, Mitch and the support group materials have reduced my stress levels greatly and helped me become so much more knowledgeable than if I was just plugging away on my own
I want to thank you for all your moral and physical support and for trying to figure out the next steps. Words are not enough to thank you both. May God Bless you both and protect you for giving your invaluable time to review her case and reaching out to the specialist in the US to help my sister.
I want to thank you and Mitch for spending time with me today. You both are a lifeline for me. Mitch was outstanding in his clear and insightful explanation of the CT scan showing the relationship of arteries to my mesenteric tumors. I learned a lot. But just as important is the special support you both have shown. Authentic caring! Many Thanks
I appreciate all that you and Mitch do for LMS patients. I am so thankful for the network of patients and caregivers and the medical professionals who share their expertise with us. My new "career" of being an LMS patient has required an immense series of new skills. I the National LMS Foundation has played a major role in helping me with my new skill set. I would be in a very different place without your help.
